To sit and gaze at the darkened sky
gazing longingly at the millions of stars above
realizing how small you truly are in the world
living a life that you were put here to live.

Looking up at the stars...trying to locate the brightest
and on that brightest star, making a simple wish
To find the one who will make the world
not seem so small...

If it be friends or a lover or a mate
it wouldn't matter as long as in
your heart, you knew...
you were no longer alone.

Returning night after night,
wishing the same wish...
until that one day,
T/they walk into your world.

Knowing then, that you are complete,
you return one more night
to visit the stars...
and thank them for granting your wish.
